How To Get Stains Out Of White Jeans
Getting stains out of white denim?
I'd like to not have to buy another pair of white jeans, but my while pair is pretty soundly scuffed up. Can I just bleach them? What's the best method to remove those stains and dirt? What's the right way if it is bleach?

Also after all that the other comments say to do, use the sun to bleach them further. Hang them out or lay them out to dry on a bright sunny day with no cloud cover. Same trick for pillows btw.

Lemon on the spots before you put them in the sun helps

Spot treat using either a spray stain remover/pretreater or plain laundry detergent. Dawn dish soap if it's grease. Wash on the hottest setting possible (unless blood; then cold water). Inspect after wash. If stains still appear treat again while the garment is damp. Let sit. Wash again on hottest setting. This should pull the stains out if they are relatively fresh. If the stains have been ground in from not being washed for an extended period or were washed and dried they may be set and unable to be lifted. In that case even bleach won't help. I'm a mom of 4 and have never met a stain I couldn't get out if it was fresh.

Depends on stain type but you will likely be able to fix them with spot treating the stains- baking soda for oil stains, vinegar for grass stains, peroxide for wine.. etc. Then I would wash in cycle with bleach. Best of luck!

5 gallon bucket, add a cup of laundry detergent, cup of bleach, cup of powdered dishwasher detergent, half a cup borax. Fill almost to the top with near boiling water. Add whatever needs intense bleaching, cover, and leave overnight or up to 3 days. When finished, wash as usual. This is the most effective solution I've ever used. If you dont have the borax, you can leave it out. I've had success without it. Good luck!

Depends how messed up the pants are. I would first try to use color safe bleach and follow the directions on the package and then report back, that's what I've done. You could use regular bleach but I prefer to start with the color safe option to, well, be safe

Long soak in Biz powder, then wash, dry it in bright sun not in a dryer, especially until you're positive the stain is gone.

If there is a label, leather or that Levi brown patch, it will bleed if you soak it,

If they are greasy stains, you might try K2R. It is a dry cleaning solvent based cleaner. Spray it on those grease stains on your favorite T-shirt, it drys to a dust, you brush it off and wash normally. I have saved many hoodies this way. Hardware stores and some grocery stores carry it in the aisle with cleaning supplies. I order mine from Amazon.
Do not use on polyester or nylon. Safe for Cotton blends though.
